In addition to the events listed overleaf, there is no doubt that in 2008 we shall be playing Bat & Trap, we will be testing our navigation skills on a Car Treasure Hunt, we must feed ourselves at a Summertime Lunch and again nearer to Christmas; and of course much more besides.

 

Members will be kept in touch with all that is planned as arrangements fall into place - through this News Letter and via the website.

 

 

Members are reminded that 2008 annual subscriptions are due early in January - many have already paid through their banks but if you prefer to pay direct to our Treasurer, Jim Hopkins at Medlar House, Lynsted, he will be glad to receive your cheque soon.  Another reminder - current subscription rates are £15 and £22.50 for a couple living at the same address.

 

 

The Association's 'central' A.G.M. is being held this year at Dover on Saturday  21st June.  Full details of the  day's programme will reach all members in the Spring.  It would be nice to think that a good number of Lynsted Branch members would like to spend the day enjoying the hospitality that the 'host' branches on the day - Dover and Deal - will be organising for us.

 

LYNSTED FETE 

 

We think it is likely that the Branch will be invited to stage some sort of display at this year's village Fete which will be on the Summer Bank Holiday, Monday 25th August.

This would be the opportunity of showing ourselves off to a wider audience and thereby publicise our activities and our aims.  Any member who feels able to contribute ideas and maybe a pair of hands towards the planning and staging of our 'presence' at the Fete is asked to get in touch with any committee member.
