ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Branch AGM was held on Friday 28th March at The Black Lion, Lynsted.  Members present heard reports of our activities during 2007 and the same committee, that will run the Branch for the next twelve months, was re-elected.

The accounts, presented by the Treasurer, showed that various functions in 2007 had significantly increased income allowing a 50% increase in charitable donations and a 'healthy' balance of funds to support activities in 2008.

Thursday 22nd May - CAR TREASURE HUNT - there is still time to book for this popular event; phone Tony and Pam Pardoe (01795 472575) for details.

Saturday 14th June - Bat & Trap at Medlar House, Lynsted. 'Gates open' at 4pm.  The evening will cost £6 per person and aside from playing and watching this old Kentish game, you will enjoy a good supper; bring your own drinks, glasses and garden chairs.  This event is for the benefit of local charities including the Kent Air Ambulance Trust and the Lynsted Orchard Group.  To book a team of four phone Jim and Alison Hopkins on 521310. 

Friday 20th June - more Bat & Trap - this time the interbranch event at Oare; for details and to reserve your places in the team or on the spectators' bench, phone Judi Randall on 521771 by 10th June.

Sunday 6th July - Jazz Picnic - for details of this new event contact Jim (521310), or Ray (521499), or Judi (521771) or Geoff (522554).

Sunday 3rd August - our SUMMER LUNCH at White Chimneys.  This annual event will again offer a nice lunch in good company - bring your own drinks and your chairs (and even a little table).  We have some cover so, although the weather has been kind in the past, we can deal with the odd shower.  The price is £7 per person and we will open the gates at noon.  Advance booking is essential; phone 01795 521499 by 21st July.
