Seventy people attended the Branch Bat & Trap event at Medlar House on 14th June.  We were favoured with a dry, if chilly afternooon and evening - although I counted 12 spots of rain during the final.  Fourteen teams competed and after a high skill and closely fought final, the "rookies" from the Lynsted Orchard Group emerged as winners.

Everyone was treated to a ham, cheese, salad, egg mayonnaise and coleslaw meal followed by speed-arresting desserts featuring chocolate and strawberries with cream! 

Thanks go out to Alison and Jim Hopkins and their supporters, particularly Geoff and Marion.  Thanks to the good attendance and the generosity of those present, the event raised over £350 for the member-nominated charities - the Lynsted Orchard Group and the Kent Air Ambulance Trust.
