Nosh and Nous

I think we are running out of alternative names, but this is what our annual wine and wisdom quiz was called this year.

Just under 70 people attended the Bapchild Village Hall this year for our annual quiz making up 9 tables. Slightly fewer than in previous years but everyone still enjoyed a great evening with the usual high quality and plentiful food.  After a slight hiccup with the acoustics the evening got under way with some challenging questions on a varied selection of topics.

Half way through the evening there was a surprise presentation to Ray and Marian Clark who, it was realised, had organised the food and compiled the questions for every quiz since 1986, that's 25 years.  A milestone well worth marking we thought.

The final result was very close but the team from the Men of Kent, Faversham branch were the winners and many congratulations to them.

A total of £289.39 was raised on the night which will be donated to one or more local charities or good causes.
