Saturday 9th May saw our Annual Spring Walk which took place at Oare near Faversham.

14 enthusiastic members and friends gathered at the Three Mariners Pub at Oare and set off towards the Oare Marshes to begin a leisurely 3 mile circular walk.  The weather was just right, not wet and not too hot and the "crocodile" soon stretched out towards the Swale.  Many water birds can be seen on the marshes which is a protected site belonging to the Kent Wildlife Trust.  Herons, egrets, shelduck, coot and many more were observed. 

 A couple of very welcome drinks were taken on return to the pub followed by a very enjoyable lunch.
